Winter Project

Winter Project

Each scout is being given a piece of yew wood for a winter project. It is up to the scout to determine what he wants to make. We are going to make string and arrows in January so a bow would be a good choice. The scout can make a walking stick or staff or use his imagination and come up with his own project.

Two warnings:

1) Use of power tools are required so adult supervision is required.
2) If the scout makes a bow this are not toys but functional bows that require adult supervision to use.

Please have the scouts work on this project through January until our next meeting. We will try to arrange a camp-out at Firelands in the spring to get the opportunity to shoot the bows.

Have a Happy Holiday Season.
